In today’s tip of the day, I want to share with you a quick and easy way to help locate desired destinations and keep one’s orientation. By adding a sound source such as music or a beeping sound in or on the desired destination can be a great way to find that destination. This tip can be used in so many different situations and here are a few real-life examples I have witnessed. I had a client who would walk around his neighborhood in a rural area and he struggled to remember which driveway to walk up to get back to his home. So we came up with a plan to have him play music out of his house window as a way of giving him a sound source that he could lock onto when returning home. Another example is leaving the tv on in the living room as a way of always knowing where the living room is. These are just a few examples and this principle can be used in so many different ways. It is worth being creative and finding out what works best for you or someone you know.
I hope this tip was helpful. I would love to hear from you if you have any other tips that you think would be good to share with the world. Please feel free to comment or email me at blindonthemove@gmail.com
