In today’s tip of the day, I want to share with you how to avoid falls in icy and snowy conditions. Firstly, there are several different tips I give my clients when traveling in dangerous weather conditions but for today I will be sharing the #1 tip I give them. One thing to note is no matter what precautions we take there is always a risk for a fall or injury but the goal is to minimize the risk as much as possible.
What I highly recommend for my clients as well as friends and family is to wear ice cleats or crampons when traveling in icy and snowy conditions. They provide extra traction and stability, especially for those unexpected black ice patches that come out of nowhere. There are many different brands and designs out there that are relatively inexpensive and easy to put on. The pair I use just slips over my shoes or boots and takes no time at all. If you don’t have a pair I highly recommend getting some. The ones in the video above can be found here.
